The new Championship season is nearly here, but who wins the fashion war in the second tier?

Every single one of the 24 clubs has got a brand new home strip and there are some great efforts out there.

In the Premier League there are some classics, but what about in the division below?

talkSPORT.com are always ready to offer their official ranking of all the 2019/20 Championship home shirts.

FIFA 20 was the year of the Stevenage Challenge. Thanks to Burger King offering gamers rewards for selecting the League Two side's two strips, they became the most used team on Career Mode.

And we’ve obliged to the public’s wishes, so you can see all 24 kits rated and ranked, from worst to best, below…

1. It even looks pretty ice cold on Jamie Vardy, too. Leicester’s shirt ticks a lot of the right boxes and there’s not much wrong with it at all. Sadly, when everything is just “nice” without doing anything too exciting, you’re gonna struggle to get above par. Shop Leicester City kits 22.
2. Pro Clubs custom kits. We had a white kit with red stripe before but it was a bit plain, so went the other way with this gradient kit and made it super.

You can see what was attempted here with the diamond pattern but it doesn’t quite work.

What appears to be an ironed on club crest might not go down well with fans either.

23. Reading

A pretty bog standard shirt from the Royals but one plus side is the smart collar.

The bands of blue around the arms just don’t quite work for us.

21. Barnsley

Very pleasing red trim on the shorts and nice hooped socks, but poor sponsoring on the shirt and an unimaginative collar gives it a plain look from the outset.

The Blackburn home shirt is iconic but Umbro could have done a lot more with it this season.

The sponsor logo looks out of line and the shade of blue seems a little off.

19. Birmingham

A nice idea with the different shades of blue on the sleeve but ultimately a little basic from adidas. It could have been better.

The Puma design looks stylish and the sponsors looks decent on the shirt but the black patch on the sleeves let it down.

17. Charlton

A very different kit for the Addicks and it’s sure to blow hot and cold with fans.

The subtle white stripes look great but the colour of the sponsor makes it look messy.

16. Cardiff

Very similar to last season and still looks neat and tidy.

adidas could perhaps have been slightly more adventurous but it’s a safe and sound jersey.

15. Wigan

Very stylish white pin stripes, which blend beautifully with the darker shade of blue – but some may feel the green trim on the sleeves and collar is a tad too bold.

A big upgrade from last season with nice detail on the shirt.

The sponsor could be a tad smaller, mind you.

It’s difficult to do too much with a white shirt, but it does have a nice black stripe down the side and stylish trim to the collar.

Lovely sponsor design and the simplistic colouring actually works in this instance.

There isn’t always a lot you can do with blue and white hoops but they’ve pulled it off.

A fantastic retro collar with the gold trim makes this a winner.

10. Derby

A big improvement from last season’s number with the sharp geometric design on the shoulder. Very smart indeed.

9. Middlesbrough

A lovely design with the white patterning on the chest giving it an alternative feel.

Hummel have done well with some of their strips this season.

A smart design to mark the club’s centenary year and the gold under the crest looks classy.

Promotion in this strip would be perfect.

7. Stoke

The Baggies stick to the basics and emerge with a very smart kit.

The addition of a black collar is very nice and the stripes are fairly well spaced apart.

A lovely Umbro logo makes this a top kit.

The Terriers’ kit looks slick and beautiful.

The stripes have a subtle black trim that add to the detail of the shirt. It’s a brilliant design and no sponsor only adds to that.

A bold design from Umbro but it goes down well in our books.

Black blends well the traditional tangerine colouring but there may be doubts with how it will look from the stands.
